The quality of this colt’s conformation and movement is already clearly evident at very young age. He was invited to the premium ring candidate at Hilltop Farm Oldenburg Inspection and received final score of 8.0 for movement and no score lower than 7.9. He was presented at unflattering stage of development at just 2 ½ months of age. He should mature to be every bit as impressive as his full sister Santasia who was a Champion Filly at one of the largest Oldenburg inspections on East Coast at Chestnut Lawn Farm.
Sandiamo demonstrated very good jumping ability at just a few months of age. He went over a line of small jumps without any encouragement when turned out with his dam to graze in riding ring. He frequently jumps over small obstacles just for fun. This is typical of his dam line. The sire also has some very good jumping blood.
Sandiamo inherited super friendly disposition of his dam. He is very laid back and not spooky. So far he has done everything asked of him on first try: jumped on a trailer without hesitation, led within a few minutes of being introduced to halter and lead rope, allowed his feet to be trimmed, stood quietly for fly spray, body clipping, de-wormer etc. He can be left out in field 24/7 and will remain friendly and easy to handle.
He is sane and sound with clean legs.
He should mature to 16 – 16.1+ hands. The sire and dam are about 16H & 16.1H. His dam line produces primarily tall horses.
He can be weaned and ready to go to new home late October. Free board is included to end of November. Competitively priced (for this area) boarding is available after sale.
