Listed in 6 people's Favorites.Ultra-Elegant Dark Chestnut Danish Mare. Absolutely delightful disposition with easy to sit gaits. She'll be a joy for an amateur owner to take through the levels. Highlights are a SUPERB canter and lovely lateral work. Oceana is a comfortable, easily-managed size for most ladies and would even make a great Junior's horse. Shown by an AA, Oceana won her first 2nd Level class with a qualifying score. Very personable and affectionate; she enjoys her work and the human connection making her an ideal companion and competitor. She is a pleasure to handle whether in cross-ties, loading/hauling, or attending clinics & shows.
Oceana is lifetime USDF registered and holds a main book European passport. She is an embryo transfer foal, the result of two German imported parents with world-class proven dressage lines that include Rubenstein I, Wendekreis, Apollon & Einblick. Hanoverian dam is an own daughter of Donnerhall (often referred to as "the most successful dressage horse in the world") and the former mount of one of the greatest German Olympic dressage riders of a generation, Isabel Werth. German blood, but branded/registered with Knabstrupper Foreningen for Danmark, a rare breed of Danish Warmblood with less than 1500 worldwide! This breed represents an ideal combination of the classic baroque and modern warmblood culminating into the ultimate dressage horse. There are perhaps a dozen actually going under saddle and competing in the U.S. With the rise in interest for smaller dressage mounts, Oceana could double as a broodmare one day to produce remarkable sport ponies!
